Multipurpose S/s Distilling column

4 in 1 Multipurpose Distillation column to suit your every distillation need.

Complete 2-inch S/s column designed to be able to do a Stripping run, Pot distillation, Ginning distillation as well as a Reflux distillation.

This column can be fitted to a 25, 35 or 50l S/s boiler. (sold separately)

  • 2-inch extension
  • 2 inch Main reflux condenser
  • 180 bend fitted with a thermometer
  • Spirit condenser
  • Surge arrestor
  • Parrot and drain valve
  • All water connections and piping 
  • Copper mesh for extension pipe
  • All clamps and seals
  • 2 inch sieve for ginning

If fitted to a 50l boiler a reducer, clamp and seal will be extra.

The copper mesh should be cleaned on a regular basis to remove any sulfite build-up. This can be done by soaking the copper mesh in a bucket of citric acid solution overnight or until the copper has turned back into its original copper colour.

For the citric acid solution: Dissolve 10 grams of citric acid per liter of water overnight.
